PEORIA, Ill. -- --Central Illinois bus riders will have another option for transportation on Sundays.

Beginning in the Spring, CityLink plans to offer bus service on Sundays.

Tuesday morning, the agency held the first in a series of public hearings to get a better idea of riders needs for Sunday bus service.

"A lot of it is gonna depend on what sort of demand we get, where people are looking at going, whether it's gonna be going to church, shopping, work, that's gonna depend a lot on how we actually structure the routes," said Josh Moore, CityLink Assistant General Manager

"Relying on friends and family for rides is not always dependable," said CityLink rider Susan Carter. "If you are late to work then you're in trouble, you can't always ask co-workers, that's an inconvenience for them."

CityLink said it will host more hearings after the first of the year. The Sunday route is scheduled to start in March or April.
