WASHINGTON, DC -- The United States Supreme Court granted Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan extra time to decide on an appeal over concealed carry on Tuesday.

Madigan now has until July 22 to decide if she wants to appeal the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling that the state's ban on concealed carry is unconstitutional.

Legislators have sent a concealed carry bill to Governor Pat Quinn's desk.

He has until July 9th to sign it.
