Normal woman arrested for stabbing incident

NORMAL, Ill. – Police have a suspect in custody in connection with a stabbing in northwest Normal.

Jacquetta Jackson, 22, of Normal faces charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery and Armed Violence for allegedly stabbing another woman in a domestic incident turned violent.

Police were called to an apartment at 103 College Park Court just after 9 p.m. Monday night where they found a 21-year-old woman with multiple serious injuries.

She was taken to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. Police said her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A short time later police located Jackson in the 700 block of West Orlando Avenue in Normal and taken into custody without incident.

Jackson remains in the McLean County Jail.
