Taft Homes fire causes $70,000 in damage

PEORIA, Ill -- A fire at the Taft Homes administrative buuilding caused $70,000 in damage on Sunday night. 

Fire fighters arrived at the two story office building on 245 Green St. at around 6:27 pm.  A fire was discovered on the second floor of the building. 

The Peoria Fire Department said that they were able to control the fire within 10 minutes.  They cleared the scene at 8:34 pm. 

The fire is believed to be an electrical fire, but is still under investigation.  There were no injuries caused by the blaze.
