BLOOMINGTON, Ill - Bloomington police are investigating the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy.
According to McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling, Kuantrae "Trae" Massey was brought to OSF St. Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington shortly before 3:00 p.m. Monday. He was pronounced dead approximately 20 minutes later.
Kimmerling said Massey was shot in the vicinity of his home in the Danbury Court Apartments in Bloomington and brought the hospital by relatives in a private vehicle.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked contact the Bloomington Police Department.
