PEORIA, IL -- Officials at the Crittenton Centers are overwhelmed with the community support to "Fill the Crib."
Center employees were picking up the final round of donations today from the Schnucks store in Pekin.
The month-long campaign benefits the Crittenton Crisis Nursery, a free 24-hour emergency daycare service for children up to 6 years old.
The nursery also provides in-need-families with much needed supplies like formula.
"We're seeing people dilute their formula, which means the children are not getting the nutrients that they need at that age," Jennifer Simmons, Crittenton Centers.
Any Tri-County Area family in need can contact the Crittenton Center for daycare or supply assistance.
Simmons says the Crisis Nursery sees about 400-450 children a month. If you would like to help the Crittenton Crisis Nursery, donations are accepted at the center's John Gwynn avenue location.
