Tractor trailer with Caterpillar equipment gets stuck for hours

EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- East Peoria and state police spent hours Monday, working to get a stuck semi-truck off the off-ramp of the Cedar Street Bridge.

According to state police, a Casper, Wyoming truck driver with an over-size load, a Caterpillar bulldozer, was unable to navigate the ramp off the Cedar Street Bridge about 3:30p.m.

Driver Paul Masters Damaged some guard rails and got firmly stuck.

State police inspected the rig, but issued no citations.   

Crews finally began to move the stuck tractor trailer off the bridge by 10:30 p.m.
