PEKIN, Ill. -- The trial of a Morton man indicted in the drug-related deaths of two young men last June is underway in Tazewell County.

Daughlton Calvin faces charges of drug induced homicide and unlawfully delivery of a controlled substance.

The charges stem from his alleged role in the deaths of 22-year-old Travis Whiteman of Pekin and 19-year-old Cody Schillinger of Morton.

Authorities say that Calvin provided Methadone to both men.

Methadone is a drug used to wean heroin addicts off of the drug.
