Trial starts for man accused in 2011 fatal robbery

PEORIA, Ill. -- The trial for the suspect in a 2011 homicide started on Tuesday.

Anthony Barlow, 25, is accused of shooting Yahya Doud "John" Mahmoud in November of 2011 during an armed robbery.

After being featured as our Manhunt Monday fugitive, Barlow was arrested in June on armed robbery charges in connection to the incident.

Barlow is the second person charged with the homicide. Robert Buford, 25, is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of aggravated battery.
