Trick-or-treat hours and Halloween festivities

CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- Trick or treat! Here are the official times for trick-or-treating. Enjoy local Halloween events for the entire family as well.

The following towns have postponed trick-or-treating until Friday, November 1:

Delavan
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday

Toluca
5:30 p.m. - 7: 30 p.m. Friday

Lincoln
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday

Washburn
rescheduled to Saturday

All Putnam County towns except Standard and McNabb
check with city for trick-or-treat hours Friday

The following towns will be hosting trick-or-treating on October 31:

Bloomington
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Eastland Mall 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

East Peoria
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Galesburg
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Glasford
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Morton
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Normal
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Pekin
No set hours

Peoria
Trick-or-treaters must be home by 8 p.m. at the latest.

Roanoke
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Local Halloween Events
Friday, October 25, 7:30 p.m. - Civic Orchestra Halloween Concert
Illinois Wesleyan Schools of Music's Civic Orchestra will give a Halloween concert at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (600 N. East St., Bloomington). Admission is free for University students with ID, and for students 8th grade and under. High school students admission is $2.00 with ID. For senior citizens and IWU alumni tickets are $5.00, and general admission is $10.00. To purchase tickets call (309)434-2777.

Saturday, October 26 - Zombie (Anti) Social
The Pekin Public Library is hosting a Zombie (Anti) Social at 1:00 p.m. for 3-4th graders and at 2:00 p.m. for 5-8th graders in the library's Community Room. Games and treats are provided. Registration is free and required. Call 347-7111 ext. 3 to register.

Monday, October 28, 6:30 p.m. - Children's Monster Bash
Pekin Public Library is hosting a Children's Monster Bash for children through 3rd grade. Enjoy stories, snacks, and activities. Registration is free and required by October 25. Call 347-7111 ext. 3 to register.

Thursday, October 31, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Trick-or-treating at Ewing Manor
The Friends of Ewing Cultural Center are hosting trick-or-treating at the manor. Parking is available at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1617 E. Emerson St., with entry to Ewing Cultural Center, 48 Sunset Road, at the corner of Towanda Avenue and Emerson Street.

Thursday, October 31 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Trick-or-treating at Heddington Oaks
This is Peoria County's annual tradition of sharing Halloween with local children at Heddington Oaks Nursing Home. Trick-or-treaters are welcome to fill their candy bags in a warm location: 2223 W. Heading Ave. in West Peoria.

Thursday, October 31 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Halloween Party and Costume Contest at the Roanoke United Methodist Church.
