Two arrested in connection to murder of Mapleton man

PEORIA CO., Ill. -- Authorities have made two arrests in connection to the death of Mapleton resident James Cohee.

The Peoria County Sheriff's Office says they have taken
two suspects into custody: Amanda K. Payne, 25, of Marquette Heights, and Devon C. Moore, 17, of Peoria.

Both suspects were arrested for first degree homicide and were taken into custody at approximately 1 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2012, at a location on Rock Island Street in Peoria.

Police are currently searching for a third juvenile suspect.

James Cohee, 68, of 10232 W. Lake Camelot Drive was pronounced dead at approximately 10:42 p.m. after being found deceased in his bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

The investigation is ongoing.
