Two arrested in death of Maroa man

MAROA, Ill. -- More details have been released regarding the death of a Macon County man.

Illinois State Police say Justin E. Mentzer, age 23, of Maroa, was found dead inside his residence by his wife on Monday morning.

Preliminary autopsy results show cause of death was listed as multiple blunt and sharp force injuries due to an assault.

As a result of an investigation, two suspects have been arrested for First Degree Murder, Home Invasion, and Aggravated Robbery.

Douglas W. Taylor, male, age 21 of Maroa, and Terris D. Warnsley, male, age 21 of Maroa, were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Macon County Jail, pending formal charges.

Douglas W. Taylor is currently being held at the Macon County Jail on a $10,000,000 bond. Terris D. Warnsley is also being held at the Macon County Jail and is scheduled for a bond hearing on November 29, 2012.
