QUINCY, Ill. -- A father and his infant son are dead after their Quincy home caught on fire.

Firefighters were called to the home just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

They were able to pull the mother from a basement window, but the father and baby were trapped inside.

Eventually firefighters were able to pull the pair out, but it was too late.

An overloaded electrical junction box is being blamed for the fire.
