MCLEAN COUNTY, Ill. -- The deaths of two men are confirmed to be flu-related.

The deaths follow an Illinois Department of Public Health warning that flu had become widespread in Illinois.

Friday, the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention announced that this year's flu outbreak has reached epidemic proportions.

Meaning the number of deaths from pneumonia and flu across the country have exceeded the numbers expected.

The dominant strain H1N1 is included in this year's flu vaccine.

Medical experts say it is not too late to get your flu shot.
