USPS says collection boxes in downtown Peoria may be inaccessible

PEORIA, Ill. -- The United States Post Service announced Friday how they are preparing for possible flooding at the Peoria Downtown Post Office located at 95 State Street.

The USPS says that the collection boxes located in front of the Peoria Downtown Post Office may be temporarily inaccessible from April 21 through April 24.

However, Retail Services, Post Office Box/Lobby services and Business Mail Entry Unit should be still be continuing as normal.

The parking lot will be open for customer parking, however, traffic may be somewhat diverted at times due to rising waters.
