MCLEAN COUNTY, Ill. -- A McLean County man is dead after his SUV collided with a Unit 5 school bus Thursday afternoon.

The McLean County Coroner said the bus was heading north of Old Route 66 in Normal just before 1 p.m. when the southbound SUV crossed into the northbound lane.

The driver of the SUV, Derek L. McPherson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsy results show he died of multiple blunt force injuries to the head, neck and chest. Toxicology tests have been ordered.
