URBANA, Ill. -- A new review of the University of Illinois budget shows the school is making money, but putting off campus maintenance.

The school has made a profit of at least $300 million every year since 2010. Yet they have deferred $1.8 billion in campus repairs.

The author of the financial review tells the Champaign News Gazette that some money will be spent on building maintenance soon. But he added, a significant amount will also likely go to faculty raises.
