BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- As of April 9th, Erik Bush and Walter “Terry” Lindberg are tied at 1329 votes each in the race for Normal Public Library Trustee.

Currently, no absentee ballots are in play; however, three provisional ballots will be counted at approximately 3:00pm on April 23rd.

Other absentee ballots that are postmarked on or before April 8th may be received up unitl the 23rd as well.

If the additional ballots do not serve to break the tie between the candidates, the race will be decided via another method.

The Election Department will either flip a coin or draw numbers from a hat to decide the winner of the race.

This process will be open for observation by the public.

Questions concerning the election can be directed to the McClean County Clerk Kathy Michael at (309) 888-5183 or Director of Elections Denise Cesario at (309) 888-5588.
