Use of electronics allowed on airplanes soon

You still can't make cell phone calls while you fly, but the Federal Aviation Administration today is changing a long standing rule: allowing the use of personal electronic devices at all time aboard airliners.

The new rule means no more having to switch devices off when the door shuts.

No one is happier than flight attendants whose union said they're tired of feeling like hall monitors.
