PEKIN, Ill. -- Pekin authorities are investigating what they call a "suspicious" house fire.
Pekin police say authorities were called to 219 Charlotte Street Saturday night around 11:30. There were no injuries, and the house was vacant.
Authorities we spoke with did not confirm any more details, but according to the Pekin Fire Chief, firefighters fought the blaze from outside for nearly four hours before they could get inside the home.
The report estimates about $50,000 to $60,000 in damages, but no cause has been determined. The Fire Chief calls the fire "suspicious".
A neighbor we spoke with said family members moved out of the house February 16th. The property is a foreclosure.
