NORMAL, Ill.-- A visitation was held Sunday night for Hudson and Bloomington Firefighter Chris Brown.
Hundreds of firefighters and loved ones filled Eastview Christian Church in Normal to pay their respects.
Thirty-nine-year-old Brown died in the line of duty on Tuesday, when a semi-truck crashed into the Hudson Fire Department vehicles on Interstate 39.
During the visitation, firefighters and honor guard groups walked in a procession, saluting Brown's casket as they passed.
Hudson Fire Chief Dan Hite says the department is a family and will never forget Brown.
Hite said, "Chris will be missed. He was a very big part of our department. He was a mentor to our younger firefighters. He had just great knowledge of the fire service. "
The funeral service for Chris Brown will take place Monday morning at 10 at Eastview Christian Church in Normal.
