MACOMB, Ill. -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will meet this Friday to consider a tuition hike.
The potential 4.5 percent increase in all-costs would apply to undergraduate students entering the Macomb campus this fall. Undergrads at the Quad Cities campus are facing a 5.6 percent increase.
If approved, the rate will be guaranteed for those students during the length of their enrollment.
The university board will meet Friday at 8 a.m. at the Quad Cities Riverfront Campus. The meeting will be open to the public beginning at 9.
Western Illinois University officials said the yearly all-costs increase is an average of 1.13 percent.
