Walmart workers protest for better working conditions

Walmart workers protested in more than a dozen cities across the country on Thursday.

A group of Walmart workers said the company has missed a labor day deadline to respond to their demands.

Those demands include reinstating what they say are illegally fired and disciplined workers, publicly committing to improve jobs and ending the company's aggressive violations of workers' rights.

The employees said thousands of their colleagues and supporters would be out in cities from coast to coast.

Walmart said the protests are stunts that have been orchestrated by union members and activists, and don't represent the views of most of their associates.
