WASHINGTON, Ill. -- If you dream it, you can lift it. In August, we introduced you to 74-year-old Ron Millard.
The Washington Native is a national weightlifting champion.
When we met Millard last month, he was training and raising money to attend the World Weightlifting Championship in Ukraine.
More than $1600 was donated for his dream, and Turkish Airlines provided him with airfare free of charge.
Millard is shooting to break his best record of lifting a total of 302 pounds to bring home a medal.
Millard arrives in Ukraine tomorrow, and AARP will keep a blog on his progress.
