Washington residents allowed to resume tornado cleanup

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- Washington residents were able to return to their damaged or destroyed homes on Wednesday to continue the cleanup process.

Debris removal has now been turned over to homeowners and private contractors.

A parking ban is in place from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. until further notice in the affected areas.

A ban on burning also remains.
