Washington school district selects new superintendent

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- A new school district superintendent will be taking over in Washington.

On Monday night the District 308 School Board approved Dr. Kyle Freeman as the district’s next superintendent.

School board members approved a three year contract for Freeman that pays an annual salary of $140,000.

Freeman is currently in his fourth year as assistant superintendent at Mascoutah District 19 in southern Illinois.

He begins July 1, 2014.
