PEORIA, Ill -- A place in Peoria's North side where you can go back in time is expanding.

Members of the Wheels o' Time Museum broke ground on a new building.  They plan to use it as a workshop and to house an early Ford V-8 exhibit that will be open to the public.

The Ford display will feature rotating displays of vintage Ford vehicles from 1932 to 1953.

Vice President Jack Seamon says as the museum grows, he hopes it might be an alternative to more expensive destinations.

"As the uncertainty of the economy continues to evolve, it might make extended vacation or travel plans for some more reasonable just to stay in Peoria and do this," Seamon said.  "We will have many members or many visitors from the area that have not been here before."

Seamon says the new workshop will allow staff to work through the winter on projects.  The group estimates the building will be completed by this fall.
