HANNA CITY, Ill -- Wildlife Prairie State Park (WPSP) announced Tuesday that they will be part of #GivingTuesday, an initiative designed to get donors to give back after spending days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The park is looking to raise $50,000 between now and the end of the year. Wildlife Prairie State Park is one of 2000 not-for-profits involved with #Giving Tuesday.
“Giving back is the true spirit of the holidays,” Jan Brown, a marketing volunteer for WPSP explained. “If you would like to donate, even one dollar, we will put it to good use. If each of our facebook fans shared our #GivingTuesday post with all of their friends and everyone gave $1, we would raise $2.5 million dollars."
Wildlife Prairie State Park says that there are several ways to donate. Paypal donations can be taken at paypal.com using this email address: aweyhrich@wildlifeprairiestatepark.org.
Credit card donations can be taken by emailing events@wildlifeprairiestatepark.org with a phone number. Someone from the park will call back and take the donation. Checks can be mailed to: Wildlife Prairie State Park, 3826 N. Taylor Road, Hanna City, Illinois 61536 Attn: #Giving Tuesday Business Manager
