EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- This is the first weekend of the Festival of Lights Winter Wonderland outdoor expo.

Cars lined up to feast their eyes on the two-mile drive thru display of lights at the VFW park on Springfield Road.

The wonderland includes all of the parade floats -- in case you missed them last week -- along with dozens of other light creations people from across the country come to see.

"Last year, we brought our grandchildren that live in Maryland and they really enjoyed it, so it's just great to have a place like this to go to with the kids," said Wonderland visitor Donna Embry.

The Winter Wonderland opened early, due to the parade running a week early.

Folepi's Winter Wonderland runs through December 31, including the holidays.

Sunday's through Thursday's the park will be open from 5 to 9 p.m.

It will stay open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
