PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria Police are still investigating the shooting of a 3-year-old early Sunday morning.

Police believe shots were fired during a large party at a home on the 2300 block of West Proctor.

The child victim was inside a home next door, sleeping on the couch when he was shot.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

"People were there. People know what happened. People saw what happened,” says Captain Michael Eddlemon. “There was a party next door, and people have chosen not to come forward with information. The police department, the citizens of Peoria, the people that live in neighborhoods, I don't care what neighborhood, aren't going to tolerate it."

Anyone with information on this shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 673-9000.
