PEORIA, Ill.-- Heather Clark from Chillicothe looks forward to attending the annual Women's Lifestyle show in Peoria each year.
"It's a tradition, me and my mom come and my daughter is old enough that she wanted to come too,” Clark said.
And she will probably want to come again next year, 6-year-old Chloe received her first massage at the show.
"She's loving it,” Clark said.
But Clark wants her daughter to leave with more than just a tension free t-zone, Clark hopes that seeing all of these successful women will inspire her little girl.
"I want her to know there is many different things out there and different things she can accomplish,” Clark said.
Chloe wasn't the only one getting pampered; technicians from Soderstrom Skin Institute did hundreds of makeovers on Saturday.
"We help people feel better about themselves and look better for really a lifetime of beautiful skin,” said Dr. Carl Soderstrom.
Between the shopping and beauty treatments women learned about their health and wellness.
OSF health professionals were even weighing handbags.
If your purse weighs more than 15% of your body weight, it can cause back or shoulder problems.
The Unity Point Methodist Mobile Mammography unit was also at the show.
"Women have come to expect it; we come out here every year. They don't need an appointment and a lot of them that's what they do! They walk around the show enjoy the booths and get their mammogram done,” said breast health educator Donna Richmond.
Richmond says they usually do more than 40 mammograms at the show.
Thousands of women attended the show including a few of our own.
