PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria District 150 is calling all zombies to help dance in the event "Thrill the World".

Children from all over Peoria are practicing the dance to Michael Jackson's hit song Thriller, as they get ready for the Worldwide Global stomp on Saturday.

Last year District 150 was a part of the event that set the world record for largest synchronized performance of a dance video. They are hoping to set a new record this weekend.

"It starts at four, but it's a global thing, everybody does it at the same time, so we have to start at four," said Kellar Primary School Principal Ken Turner. "So, we are getting ready as soon as 3:30, getting our make-up on, our zombie make-up, and getting ready and practicing."

The public is invited to come out and you do not need any dance skills to participate.

To register for the event, go online to www.thrilltheworld.com and select Peoria under the "location" tab.

A registration fee of 1 to 5 dollars applies.

Those who register can vote on what charity they would like their money to go to.

The dance begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Peoria stadium.
