PEORIA, Ill. -- Kids and animals teamed up today to help Children's Hospital of Illinois on Saturday.
The first-ever Zoo Hullabuloo was held from 10 am to 1 pm at the Peoria Zoo.
For a special admission price kids could enjoy unique activities, snacks and of course, see all of the animals.
Two dollars from each admission goes directly to Children's Hospital.
"We're doing the Zoo Hullabaloo as a way to raise funds for Children's Hospital and we're doing tons of different activities," said Dr. Andrea Schnowske, one of the organizers of the event. "Everything from face painting to cotton candy and snow cones and we're also doing discount ticket admission into the zoo."
Organizers would like to raise about $2,000 with the event and are hoping to hold it again next year.
