STANFORD, Ill. -- A McLean County woman is dead after an apparent ATV accident in Stanford, Illinois.

Shortly after 8 Sunday night, authorities were called to the intersection of Blackstone and Main in Stanford. That's where they found a man and a woman lying in a yard with the ATV nearby.

Authorities believe the ATV was heading south on Blackstone when it collided with a minivan.

The man was taken to Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in Normal.

The woman, identified as Mary Masters, 70, of Stanford, was treated at the scene but died a short time later.

An autopsy conducted Tuesday revealed Masters died as a result of multiple injuries, specifically head, neck and chest, sustained as one of two persons on an ATV when it crashed.

Forensic toxicology tests have been ordered.
