PEORIA, Ill -- March Madness is in full swing as the first Friday of the NCAA tournament had fans flocking to sports bars across town.

Tis the season for fans to get a little mad.

Whether it's rooting for that perfect bracket or watching their Alma Mater make it to the Final Four, fans across Central Illinois all had something to cheer about.

"It is the most exciting time of the year with college basketball," said March Madness fan, Jeff Shaw. "You have the comradery with all of the guys getting together, betting on all the games, and of course drinking a lot of beers. We just have fun."

One group of guys make it a priority every year to watch every game they can in as many bars as possible.

Shaw and his close friends have been watching the tournament together for the last 20 years.

This year was no different as they enjoyed themselves at a local bar.

And what's a tournament without a friendly bracket competition?

"It is a lot of fun," said March Madness fan, Matt Everhart. "It gives you a reason to watch all the games and pay attention. It gives you somebody to root for."

Shaw rooted for Wichita State to bring home a championship to the Missouri Valley Conference.

But the guys said no matter who ends up in that final bracketed spot, they're happy they got to enjoy another round of games together.
