Tazewell Health Department, Pekin Hospital to Offer Free Mammograms

Tazewell County Health Department and Pekin Hospital Women's Diagnostic Center are celebrating National Mammography Day with free mammogram screenings.

Women, ages 40-64, who do not have health insurance are eligible to receive a free mammogram.

Now in its tenth year, the event hopes to educate and empower women to take care of themselves and reiterate the importance of breast health.

The 10th Annual Mammogram Day will take place on October 21 at the Women's Diagnostic Center at Pekin Hospital from 9 am to 4 pm. No appointment is necessary.
