A two-year old child is dead after drowning in a back yard pool which was not officially open for the swim season.
The Peoria County Coroner says the pool contained about three feet of rainwater.
Peoria Police were called to 506 East Frye around 3:45 Sunday afternoon.
Police say the little boy was found in the water alone.
When officers arrived they took over C-P-R efforts that had been started by family members.
But the toddler was unresponsive.
Coroner Johnna Ingersol says Earl Woods III was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
Ingersol says Woods lived at the address with his legal guardians; Jason and Vanessa Gardner.
She says an adult and two teens where home at the time of the drowning.
