November 15, 2010 Updated Nov 19, 2010 at 7:09 PM CDT

A late night fight at a Peoria gas station Tuesday, November 9, leaves one man dead and police on a manhunt for the suspect, Calvin Brown, 30.

Authorities say Curtis Johnson, 29, was pumping gas at this Circle K gas station on North Knoxville Ave. with his girlfriend and two children in the car when Brown approached, and a fight started.

An hour later Johnson died at OSF St. Francis Medical Center from a gunshot wound in his side. Almost immediately police were looking for Brown.

The Peoria County State's Attorney's Office says Brown plead guilty to aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and got out after 4 years because of time served day for day.

This is the second murder at this gas station since 2005. This is Peoria's 19 homicide this year.

If anyone has any information, please call the Sheriff's Department at (309) 697-7846, which will be active Tuesday, November 16.
