DONIPHAN, Neb. -- Twin brothers suspected in the theft of two gibbons in Doniphan, Nebraska, were caught with the primates early Thursday morning in Lee County, Florida.

The woman who owns the apes reported the theft to her local sheriff's office on Monday.

She said there was a chance that Michael and Jacob Ruehlman, who had lived with her over the summer, had swiped the animals.

Another woman who knows both the victim and the 20-year-old brothers contacted the duo through Facebook and urged them to bring the primates to her.
