WASHINGTON, D.C. – The White House has finally unmasked and fired a senior official who was tweeting under a fake name for more two years revealing internal information and insulting top public officials.

Jofi Joseph served as a director in the non-proliferation section of the national security staff of the Obama administration.

Joseph admitted he was behind the @natsecwonk mystery twitter account famous among the beltway insiders and was let go last week.

In a statement, Joseph apologized to those he insulted. His twitter account was shut down.

His insults targeted not just his White House bosses but senior Democrats and Republicans alike.

For many in Washington, D.C. the news came as a surprise since Joseph was well known in political circles. He was also married to a respected senate staffer.
