2013 Federal Budget Release Delayed

As President Barrack Obama prepares for his third State of the Union Address, his administration has announced a delay in the release of the federal budget.

Monday, the White House announced that the 2013 budget will not be released until the second week of February.

The federal budget is typically released on the first Monday of February.

Critics including 18th District Congressman Aaron Schock says this has become a habit with the President... As the release was delayed last year as well.

An administration official said the later date was quote "determined based on the need to finalize decisions and technical details of the document.''

Mr. Obama may preview some details on the budget during tomorrow's address.

The 2012 Presidential State of the Union Address will air here on WEEK Tuesday night at 8pm Central.
