September 19, 2011 Updated Sep 19, 2011 at 11:02 AM CDT

A 28-year-old Washington attorney is campaigning for a seat on the Tazewell County Board.

Andrew Rinehart, an attorney at Mescher Law Offices and Washington District 50 School Board member, feels he is fit for the position because of his intention to serve his community.

"I'm interested in running because Tazewell County has been my home for all my life," said Rinehart.  "Many of the relationships and opportunities I've  had have been fostered in the communities of this district and County."

Rinehart says he is seeking one of three seats available in District Three, which encompasses Washington, Fondulac, Deer Creek, Mackinaw, Little Mackinaw, Hittle and Boynton Townships.

Rinehart is a graduate of Illinois State University and Oklahoma City University School of Law.
