Bloomington candidates file for primary race

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Those hoping to get a seat in local government filed their intentions to run on Monday.

Petitions filed for the February 26 primary election were as follows:

For the office of Mayor: Tari Renner and Lex Green

Alderman 1: Bernie Anderson and Kevin Lower.

Alderman 5: Jennifer McDade and Matthew Koetters

Alderman 7: Scott Black

Alderman 9: Jim Fruin

Twp Supervisor: Steven Purcell, Republican and Deborah Skillrud, Republican

Twp Assessor: Steve Scudder, Republican
