CHICAGO, Ill. -- Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner announced Thursday the formation of the group "Democrats and Independents for Rauner".

Rauner said his approach to leadership was non-partisian and the state's problems needed to be solved the same way.

Among those at the news conference was long-time democrat and former FCC Chairman Newton Minow.

Governor Pat Quinn said he is not worried about Rauner making inroads among democrats before the November election.
