PEORIA, Ill.-- One of the state's biggest political figures is making a special trip to Peoria next year.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be a featured Chamber of Commerce lunch speaker on March 7, 2012.
As a former Chicago congressman and former Chief of Staff, Emanuel has a diverse political background.
Chamber spokeswoman Terry Best says they don't know what he will speak about, but says it will be a bi-partisan event.
"As we progress toward March 7, 2012 and the election draws closer, I am sure he will have a lot more to say, not only about the state, but the country as well," said Best. "He has a unique perspective."
Tickets will be sold online for $45 and they can be purchased after the first of the year on the Chamber of Commerce's website, http://www.peoriachamber.org/.
