BLOOMINGTON, Ill -- Illinois Representative Dan Brady announced Thursday that he will not be running for United States congress.
"After much discussion with family, friends, advisers and others, I have made my decision not to submit my name for consideration by the Republican County Chairman of the 13th Congressional District," Brady said in a news release.
Brady said that his responsibilities to his family, as a State Representative and his new business partnership as Funeral Director at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Funeral Home were some of the major factors in his decision.
Brady said that he is not ruling out running for office in the future and that he will be seeking re-election as State Representative of the 105th District.
