Durbin announces over $7 million in HUD funding for Illinois

WASHINGTON, DC -- United States Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) announced Thursday that Illinois communities and housing agencies will receive over $7.1 million in grant funding through three programs administered by Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Locally, Pekin is getting over $325,000 in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). 

The CDBG program provides annual grants to states and local governments to develop viable urban communities by providing housing and a suitable living environment by expanding economic opportunities for low and moderate income persons.
