The FBI is investigating a threat on the life of Illinois congressman Bobby Shilling.

Thursday in Rock Island, Shilling showed the internet posting offering $75,000 for his assassination and that of any other us congressman, senator, or federal agent.

Shilling says he and his family are taking precautions while the threats are investigated.

"I'm pretty concerned, my wife is very concerned. It's a general threat to all members of congress but they specifically called my name out in the threat," says Shilling.

Shilling says authorities believe they know who sent the e-mail, but after the shooting of congresswoman Gabriel Gifford, federal authorities and capital police take all threats seriously.
