Giving Illinois Gambling Bill Another Roll

Governor Quinn Wednesday talked to reporters about his dislike for expanding gaming to include new casinos and slot machines at horse tracks. But Illinois Senate President John Cullerton says slots at race tracks were critical to getting the bill passed in the General Assembly...

IL Sen. John Cullerton (D), Senate President says "I think that's kind of an important part of the bill, so we can come up with a trailer bill to allow him to sign the underlying bill."

Cullerton is confident there will be a revised gambling bill to Quinn's liking before the next session in October when the General Assembly is back in Springfield.
