EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Bill Daley was in East Peoria Friday campaigning for pension reform.

The Chicago Democrat and former U.S. Commerce Secretary is challenging incumbent Pat Quinn in the March primary election.

Daley claims Governor Quinn has shown a lack of leadership, failing to fix the state's budget problems stemming from under-funded pensions.

“The governor should have been very clear,” said Daley. “He had his own plan a year ago, it went nowhere, then he said he was for Cullerton's plan, then he said he was for Madigan's plan, and now its sort of just do something and I'll sign it. That's not leadership. What does he want? What has he laid out specifically?”

Daley is also scheduled to visit the Bone Student Center at Illinois State University on Saturday.
